summary - i prefer this over the thermometer that is used on the forehead. this is almost as accurate as those used in the hospitals. easy to use specially for babies and battery is easy to find and replace.it would have been great if they put a back light on the lcd screen, because if you are a parent like me who monitors my baby's temperature during the night when she is sick, you don't want to be turning on the lights just to see the reading of the thermometer.
